The Worst Witch Rebrand
Commissioned by Penguin Random House.
PRH sought a more contemporary identity for The Worst Witch, refreshing a much-loved classic for a new generation. The challenge was to create a cleaner, bolder, and more immediate visual language, while preserving the playful chaos at the heart of the stories.
Retaining the pared-back cover design and original illustrations was key. By extracting select elements from the interior artwork and introducing subtle lighting shapes, I created a greater sense of movement and dynamism, bringing new energy to the series while honouring the simplicity of the original covers.
